We know firsthand that policy solutions to climate collapse are not going to move quickly enough to protect our communities. CROs and a cohort of grassroots organizers on the front lines of flooding are collaboratively developing a network of autonomous, community-stewarded Resilience Hubs.
In the coming months, we’ll be building an understanding of what ‘resilience hubs’ are, and how we can create models to establish and sustain them. We will draw on existing work our cohort members are already doing to identify best practices from supply lists to social infrastructure, and develop a strategy for resourcing these hubs and getting them running. We hope to be sharing open-source tools with communities across the state throughout 2025, with opportunities to gather feedback and hone those tools.
